New Quay Head - Cwm Tudu

I walked today from home on N Q head to Cwm Tudu  on an inland route and back along the coast. There was plenty to see with the summer migrants showing well. Highlights included male wheatears on Banc y Penrhyn.
At Ty Rhos pond there was a mixture of chiffs and willows hunting midges as well as a female blackcap. There were 2 male blackcaps at Cwmsilio. At Nanternis Mill there was a  pair of grey wagtails being quite vocal on the roofs.
Approaching Cwm Tudu there was a pair of kites and a peregrine sharing the same thermal with the kites seeming to have a lift advantage. Some Peacock butterflies were out in the hollow above Coybal beach.
Back at home this redstart appeared in the garden presumably on passage.
