Llanddewi Brefi

The area around Pentre-rhew and the lower part of Cwm Brefi , up to the little bridge, always holds a good variety of birds, and today was no exception. 39 species this morning, a few regulars missed and a few migrants yet to arrive, makes this a 50 species tetrad. It was great to see 3 male Yellowhammers in song. One was in some gorse above Pentre-rhew where I've not seen them before, and the other two appeared to be occupying territories either side of the road up the valley. I presume there may be others further up Cwm Brefi too.
