Spring Migrants

Highlights of a cold and blustery morning were 15 White Wagtails and 3 Wheatears at Llanrhystud and the Water Pipit at Tregaron. I also heard my first singing 'Tregaron Bog' Blackcaps and Willow Warblers. Maesllyn Pond, the pond close to the main Tregaron Bog car park, had a flock of about 200 Sand Martins and a couple of Swallows hawking insects just above the water's surface.
