Start of the shearwater spectacular?

On the way to Ynyslas again this morning, I decided to have a look at the sea at Borth.  At last, after finding nothing for ages, I was delighted to see Manx Shearwaters in large numbers.
A feeding raft of ca3000 off the reefs, then more scattered as far as the eye could see, to Ynyslas and beyond.  No attempt to count them, but at least another couple of thousands.  About 75 Gannets with them.
On the estuary, seven Med Gulls, ca55 Sandwich Terns, 42 Dunlin, two Whimbrel and a Sanderling, with just 23 Ringed Plover at the point.
On the way home, noticing a good number of gulls on Blaendolau fields, I decided to do a count and found 116 Med Gulls among them.
Beat that, Mr Bird.
