More from Cross Inn Forest yesterday
A
walk in Cross Inn forest this morning in calm conditions resulted in siskin,
goldcrest, blue tit, stonechat, reed bunting, bullfinch, starling, blackbird,
magpie, jay, carrion crow, raven, buzzard, red kite, great spotted woodpecker
and a stunning female hen harrier which flew across the area the shrike normally
occupies before the T junction, heading north through the trees behind the
kestrel box. No shrike today though.
