Borth and the Dyfi pillbox

Finally got the Snow Bunting at around 1:30 today after 3 attempts. I flushed it from the beach and then it disappeared. Oh well. The 300 or so Dunlin had been pushed right up onto the top of the beach by the tide at borth.
The Dyfi Pillbox at high tide today was as prolific as ever.  3000+ Wigeon, 150+ Shelduck, 55 Teal, 30 Pintail, 2 Mallard, 8 Shoveler!! (3m and 5f), 2 Little Egret, 12 Bar-tailed Godwit's, 1000+ Oystercatcher, 1 Greenshank, 1 Pale-bellied Brent Goose, 350+ Dunlin, 72 Grey Plover, 100+ Curlew, 5 Redshank, 2 Snipe, 20 Skylark, 2 Rock Pipit, 10 Meadow Pipit and thousands of gulls, mainly Black-headed. Flushed loads of Meadow Pipits and a few Reed Buntings on the saltmarsh on the way back to the car. A nice spot for a rarity that is.
