Around Ynyslas and Glandwr

Pick of the waders at Ynyslas this morning was a group of 36 Knot at the point, ca 25% of them in summer plumage.
Found Edward at the brickhouse where we enjoyed hundreds of Gannets feeding, most towards Borth and very close in.  A dark morph Arctic Skua flushed a raft of Manx Shearwaters as it headed south.
To Ynys Tachwedd Fields, where we found two of the Cattle Egrets; Ring-billed Gull still present.
At Glandwr Edward found a Green Sandpiper and a male Shoveler.
We had encountered small parties of Whimbrel around and about; prob 20 plus in total.
I ended up at Upper Borth, sharing a bench with Bob as a Chough made a couple of appearances and hirundines, mostly Swallows but with good numbers of House Martins, streamed past in large numbers.
