This afternoon there were around 240 Med Gulls in Aberystwyth; 40 in the harbour, 100 on the rocks outside the harbour entrance and 100 on College rocks. A Willow Tit made an appearance on one of the feeders this evening.
Chris has been monitoring the progress of a breeding pair of Moorhens on his brother's pond nearby.
They are now on their third brood of the year. The first produced seven young, of which two survived and have now flown off. There was one survivor from the second brood, of five, which is now helping to rear the third brood of five, all of which are surviving so far.
