Fieldfare and Red-legged Partridges

No sign of the Snow Bunting at Llanrhystud yesterday.
Woke this morning to the frost (Cilcennin)and looked out onto hawthorn hedge to see my first fieldfare of autumn in company of 6 redwing + a couple of resident blackbirds.
Then driving in direction of Aberarth church first had 4 red-legged partridge going for a walk down the road in the early sun followed not long after by a buzzard and an impressive looking raven trying to sort out who would have the lion's share of a rabbit carcass up on the bank.at close quarters the size of the raven's beak and the glisten of its feathers in the sunlight quite something.

Still no sign of Great Grey Shrike in Cross Inn forest last night. just off to have another look for my black redstart along the front in Aberaeron.
