Llanrhystud and the Dyfi

It was good to get out after yesterday's non-stop rain.  I started at Llanrhystud with two year ticks; Glaucous Gull and Arfon.  The bird was on the flooded field south of the beach car park and is a real beauty.  Not often we get an adult in these parts.
Then to Ynyslas where the King Eider showed well as it drifted towards the mouth of the Leri.  A party of seven Snipe on a sandbank near the tern posts was an unusual sight, unlike the Grey Plover and 37 Dunlin nearby.
A short drive to the boatyard and who should be there but Edward,  No Cattle Egret or geese so we walked over the railway crossing and there on the left were the two pinkfeet and the whitefront, still together. After a brief chat with Kev and Sue, who just happened to be passing, I ended up at the Glandyfi layby, where the highlights were Great Egret, Green Sandpiper and Goldeneye.
