A mainly sunny morning, with a bit of a chill early on from the SSE breeze.
During an hour-long seawatch from a bench at Castle Point, the highlights were my first Manx Shearwaters of the year,(36 in total, almost all heading north), and a party of seven Shelduck going south.
Others passing were two each of Gannet and Common Scoter and single Guillemot and Sandwich Tern. A Red-throated Diver on the sea was still in winter plumage.
