Good plover day

Following a text that a female Kentish plover was caught and ringed at high-tide last night and a phone call at 10am this morning from Ed Coleman I went to Ynyslas at lunch time and eventually the Kentish plover flew in to the sand at the tern posts after the tide had dropped. Also there was a little ringed plover, an immature glaucous gull and 57 whimbrel. Not a bad lunch-break!
