I met Chris Forster- Brown on the track on the edge of Llancynfelyn common
last night on the hunt for Nightjar. Chris told me that he had one churring at
the Taliesin end of the bog last year, making at least four territories on
Fochno in 2017.
Walking around the boardwalk circuit I had a male churring close to the
path on the seaward side of the circuit and a second not far to the west below
Ty Hunt, where a female replied briefly. The churring started around 9.35pm but
the birds soon went quiet.
