Clywedog plantation, Llanfair Clydogau

A walk this morning through the lower slopes yielded a couple of Cuckoos, Wood and Grasshopper Warblers and what appeared to be a family group of Crossbills. A Marsh Fritillary butterfly in the clearfell was a surprise, perhaps it had drifted in from some meadow/pasture adjacent to the forestry.
