Llanon, Llansantffraed, Llanrhystud and Cross Inn

Had a nice afternoon out with Ellis yesterday at Llanon, Llansantffraed, Llanrhystud and Cross Inn forest today. Bird species seen were herring gull, black headed gull, great black backed gull, oystercatcher, curlew, turnstone, heron, carrion crow, rook, jackdaw, magpie, starling, blackbird, blue tit, great tit, coal tit, long tailed tit, chaffinch, robin, wren, dunnock, house sparrow, meadow pipit, rock pipit, stonechat, red kite and a stunning merlin at Llanrhystud. I got closer to the merlin this time but before I could get any closer, having stalked it from about 500m away, Aline Denton scared it off 😆😁
