Cattle Egret...Terns - the Teifi

A good look around the Teifi this morning by several birders, 3 Sandwich Terns came in to feed and roost on Patch as the tide dropped. Otherwise little new - Willow Warblers singing from a couple of places and the usual set of waders. 1 Greenshank, 2 Black-tailed Godwits, 4 Dunlin, 15 Ringed Plover the best. The good looking pair of  Red-breasted Mergansers were up river from the railings and at least 1 Goosander remains on the river near the gorge.
Hirundines...large passage of Sand Martins and gatherings in the evening, this photo from last Saturday - could have been taken last night too, when 150+ Sand Martins and a few Swallows were over Mallard Pond and the marsh.

The Cattle Egret was feeding with two Little Egrets in the grass field opposite St. Dogmael's Quay - it's usual site.
House Martins have joined the feeding Hirundines over the marsh now, the main feeding activity centred in the air above Kingfisher Pond this evening. Six Greylag Geese silently circling over the marsh this evening was unusual.
