Great White Egret

The Great White Egret was at Pant pond at 1425 -1445 this afternoon.The bird is almost resident. More concerning was the absence of hirundines.  Most afternoons there has been a good mix of the three species but this afternoon the only hirundines between Pant and the village were the swallows that have taken up residence in the New Inn.  I visit pant most days at about the same time.
