Hobby and hirundines

There was a big push of Swallows and House Martins evident at Ynyslas this afternoon with roughly 250 Swallows and 40 House Martins an hour heading north. Bombing through behind them all was a very smart Hobby which went fizzing past the row of houses on the Ynyslas road. Not a bird I see very often and I think my first for a couple of years.
