It's a quiet time of the year but I was disappointed not to find a single wader on the rising tide this morning.
Usual species passing offshore: 270 Manxies and 8 Gannets, plus a party of ca20 Common Scoter. Up to 45 Kittiwakes present, mostly well out, then after a few distant auks, a Guillemot flew by close inshore.
As I was packing up John Valentine appeared and took over sea watching  duties.
