Enjoyed
a pleasant evening walk at cross inn forest last night (sun) after spending 3
weeks back at home in the midlands.
met
by what I think was sound of juv sparrowhawk screaming for food.usual mix of
warblers including chiffies still chiffying.
first
noticeable observation was 3 spot-fly,s all together which probably indicates
that they have bred successfully.
next
confirmed evidence of breeding was pair of adult grey wags "shouting" at me
and several juv,s scattered around all shouting for food.interesting to watch
their tails wagging even though recently fledged.definitely successful
breeding.
plenty
of tree pipits in the older clear fell area.at least 4 had food in their
beaks,so again indication of breeding.
couple
of small groups l redpoll over and a linnet completed the picture.
nice
to be back up here
