Once again Manx Shearwaters were streaming past
Aberystwyth early this morning. I got to Borth a bit later than usual and again
the birds were quite close in at Upper Borth. Many, together with several
Gannets had began to fly south, skirting the cliffs. Counting those remaining on
the sea (judging groups of 10) I reached 9,000. I drove to Clarach which was
devoid of birds except for a few Manxies flying north. So, were many of the
birds beginning to congregate off Wallog? Back at Borth, there were still
thousands of them.
