Manx Shearwaters

Manx Shearwaters were streaming past Aberystwyth early this morning, quite close in and heading north. From what I saw later on I must have missed most of them but from 6.15 to 7am there were 1000 every 5 minutes, then the numbers fell somewhat.
An hour later, from the north end of Borth prom a few were passing by. However, almost on the horizon there was a mega-huge raft of Manxies off Ynyslas, the Dyfi estuary and extending north. Hopefully as in past years, these gatherings will move much closer to the shore.
