From the top car park, down the line, then across the footpath to the extensive willow scrub and private ponds below Crug Las. 5 Willow Tits noted at different points (using playback). When combined with other sightings recently this makes 24 likely territories on or immediately adjacent to the reserve. I'm very grateful to the warden, Iestyn, for allowing me full access to the reserve. Other birds present inc; Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blackcap, Sedge Warbler, Whitethroat, Spotted Flycatcher, Kestrel, 3 Goosanders and 200 Linnets.
