High tide at Ynys-hir

A few Curlews

Barnacle Geese
I decided on the Ynys Feurig hide and was not disappointed.  263 Curlews flew onto the pools accompanied by two Dunlin, a Greenshank and a Little Ringed Plover.
An early sign of autumn in the form of large numbers of Teal and Mallard, plus 40 Barnacle Geese, 44 Wigeon and 12 Pintail.
As the tide ebbed most of the waders and many of the wildfowl flew out onto the estuary and when a Peregrine came along and flushed the rest it was time to go.
