A pleasant hour or so at the Point this morning surrounded by waders. As
well as the usual dunlin and ringed plover there were -
20 redshank
About 50 knot
About 40 sandwich terns
Handful each of sanderling and turnstone
One or more curlew sands.
One Guillemot flying out of the estuary, quite close in
Russell arrived just as I was about to leave and immediately found a total
of 4 curlew sands. I guess there could have been more.
