All in a days work

Whilst dropping off some flowers at someones gate in Trebedw this morning, a Marsh Tit was calling loudly right next to me in a bush. A Sparrowhawk plunged into a garden conifer in the centre of Penrhiwllan. On my way home there was a Merlin near Cwmsychpant.
If I may be forgiven for adding something non birdy for anyone living in that area. Henllan PO is likely to be emptied very early in the morning. I arrived just 10 minutes after opening today. This is because staff on that route (and a few others) have been asked to start extra, extra early, in order to stagger starting times and reduce crowding in the sorting office (the black hole of Horeb). Consequently, if you want something posted on a certain day you'll need to have taken it to the PO the day before.
