Bryn Moel

Just back from a walk up in the plantations above Llanddewi Brefi. It wasn't that long ago that I was there but they seem to have grown so fast. Not much to report except that, without prompting with playback, I stumbled upon a Willow Tit. It was on Bryn Moel, in a huge area of conifers about 10-20 feet tall, right on the 480m contour, and about 4km from my nearest other record, in Clywedog Plantation, across the ridge. Obviously, I've no idea whether one or two others are present on this high ground or perhaps this was a rogue youngster that has dispersed a little further than usual to locate a territory?
