Swallows

I am just curious about the lack of Swallows I've seen this year. Is it me or has anyone else noticed this? I am walking almost every day (some long distances) when the weather is reasonable & live in a small village but some days I do not see any. On several days I have seen more Swifts than Swallows. I know there was a big incident over Greece in April with large nos of Hirundines found dead after a storm. #Dave Taylor
