Llangrannog - Penbryn: recent sightings

LI have just come back from a week in a cottage in Morfa, just south of Llangrannog. I thought I’d share my sightings - nothing amazing but some nice birds. Pair of Choughs seen most days on the coast. 3 Peregrines north of Penbryn. At least 2 were juveniles with a big female and Much smaller Male. The juveniles were harrying a black headed gull, taking turns to try and catch it in mid-air 100 metres out to sea but the Gull would dive towards the sea at every approach. The juveniles must have had 40-50 goes at the gull but eventually gave up and flew back to the cliffs above me giving great views. Also a family of 4 Ravens along the coast, some Manx Shearwaters amongst a large flock of Gannets yesterday afternoon, the usual Stonechats, Linnets and Rock Pipits, plus plenty of Kites when nearby fields were cut for silage.
