Ynyslas

Wandering about Ynyslas at high tide this morning produced a few sightings of interest if nothing special. There were plenty of gannets and shearwaters feeding quite close inshore with a few scoter flying past. A flock of around 200 gulls and terns were frantically diving and feeding in the estuary mouth between Aberdyfi and north point. Around 50 dunlin were on the beach tideline. Small flocks of swallows were chasing insects over the saltmarsh. A lone wheatear and a very dowdy whitethroat were in the scrub along the track there. Dave Thomas
