A Great Grey Shrike was a nice surprise at Cross Inn Forest this afternoon. I saw it initially perched at the very top of a tall tree a couple of hundred yards from the car park, to the north west of the track. I enjoyed quite close views of it later when I was near the car park, in the clearing on the west side of the track.
