Not easy to find (Llanrhystud and Cross Inn Forest)

300 Golden Plovers and 80 Lapwings at the coast. No sign of the elusive Snow Bunting or the elusive Great Grey Shrike. I use the term "elusive" to convey to my fellow birders the impression that both birds are "difficult" and "challenging" and that this is the reason I didn't find either this morning. In fact, as far as I am aware, the bunting hangs around in the car park and is very approachable. While the shrike has been seen very close to the main entrance on a few occasions, where presumably it sits motionless for long periods in small dead trees that are bereft of their needles.
