Some good birds in the uplands above Llyn Berwyn today with a Great Grey Shrike & a ringtail Hen Harrier. A male Merlin and a Peregrine were attracted in to a 'bait ball' of c.500 Starlings. On the small pool towards soar y mynydd there was what must be a newly arrived Little Grebe, hard to imagine its nocturnal journey over the hills. Some signs of spring up there with new arrivals including small numbers of Crossbills, Siskins, Linnets, Pied Wagtails and Stonechats.
