I was also in the Ynyslas / Ynys Tachwedd area this morning, spending part of the time with Russell, and despite our efforts we could not find a Whinchat (see post below).
I was there on the rising tide, and of the waders saw only ca350 Dunlin with lots of Ringed Plovers which flew off before I could count them, ca95 Whimbrel and 15 Bar-tailed Godwits. There were also two Stock Doves on Ynys Tachwedd Fields.
