Llanrhystud

Waders provided most of the interest this morning., all near the lime kilns. Totals:  Whimbrel 34,  Ringed Plover 6,  Turnstone 3,  Bar-tailed Godwit 2 , Curlew 2,  Dunlin 1 and a smattering of Oystercatchers.. The Whimbrel flew in from the north, in flocks of 19 and 15, and later 17 of them flew off  inland over the first field past the kilns.

There was hardly a small bird to be seen, until I had a rear view and heard a brief  call from a flyover wagtail.  Fairly certain it was a yellow, then Martin C came along, played the call on his phone and confirmed it.  A brief seawatch to finish produced a few Gannets, a Sandwich Tern and six Common Scoter.
