Still a smattering of waders about inc the summer plumaged Bar-tailed Godwit plus 8 White Wagtails. Also saw an unusual bird which I could not identify. At first I thought it was a Yellowhammer but in flight the head was clearly very white. Thereafter, I had trouble locating it in the grass. I believe it was a Meadow Pipit with with a significant plumage aberration. However, I'm very aware that almost exactly two years ago, in uncannily similar circumstances, I completely failed to identify a Blue-headed Wagtail that was staring me in the face.(Later identified by Arfon, I think). You have been warned.
