Stayed closer to home this morning with a short walk at Cross Inn Forest. I saw a nice selection of common species including lots of Siskins and Redpolls in display flights and 5 Redstarts. Pick of the birds for me were 2 Tree Pipits, one singing and displaying in the usual area and a quintessential view of a Crossbill female calling from the top of a conifer.
