Couldn't face the Bank Holiday crowds at Ynyslas this morning, so after a look att Ynys Tachwedd fields (just 16 Whimbrel), I had a walk along the west bank of the Leri from the railway bridge. On the banks were 12 Bar-tailed Godwits, 47 Dunlin and four Ringed Plovers. Reed and Sedge Warblers sang and somewhere over on Cors Fochno a Cuckoo called persistently. In among a light passage of Swallows were a couple of Sand Martins and a few House Martins.
