Walking out of town on the Cwm Berwyn road there were several Flycatchers to be had without having to go too far; 6 Pied and 3 Spotted. Turning right and heading uphill; there was a Cuckoo in Upper Cwm Carfan and about ten singing/displaying Redpolls in Bryn Du. Though I didn't walk round town, being parked in the car park, I only saw a single Swift, when usually several are present. No Greenfinches either. Up to now I have also not seen any Swifts on my route at work (Henllan/Penrhiwllan/Aberbanc), all of these villages normally have a few.
