With things becoming quieter in woods and gardens at this time of year I often find it easier to hear and pick up Spotted Flycatchers. I had 2 in Betws Bledrws on the 19th, 1 near Horeb on 21st and 3 today in Sarnau. Also today in Sarnau, as I drove down a track, there was a Sparrowhawk on a kill. It refused to move and so I was able to pull up alongside and could almost pat it on the head by leaning out the window.
