At Ynyslas this morning on a rising tide there were few birds at the Leri mouth, 4 Whimbrels, 6 Dunlin, 1 each of Curlew, Ringed Plover, & Redshank. I could hear and see the screeching Terns over at the point so I yomped round. On the beach I counted 144 Sandwich Terns both adults and juveniles and there were probably another 50 in the air, 50 + Dunlin, 9 Sanderling, 2 Turnstones, 4 Ringed Plover and 4 Med Gulls. I didn't go all the way round to avoid disturbing the birds there.
A brief walk partway along the Aberleri track yielded 1 Snipe which flew up
from the reeds, 1 Sedge Warbler still singing and 2 Stonechats.
15mins at Glandyfi layby with water levels high but receding yielded only 1
Common Sand and a squadron of 14 Goosanders heading up river.
