Ynyslas

It was surprisingly sheltered by the tern posts at Ynyslas this morning. As the tide began to fall I managed counts of 85 Dunlin, ca110 Ringed Plovers, three Whimbrel, two juv. Sanderlings, a Turnstone and a Curlew.

A single Sandwich Tern was hunkered down with around 25 Black-headed Gulls at the edge of the Leri saltings and a steady stream of Swallows moved down the estuary.
