Ynyslas

After noting five Purple Sandpipers in the Aberystwyth roost I continued to Borth, where there were three Shelducks on the sea near the toilet block, plus a Red-throated Diver off the golf clubhouse on the way back.

Then to Ynyslas for the high tide.  Between the tern posts and the Leri mouth were 15 Grey Plovers, five Turnstones, a Knot and at least six Redshank, with four Pintail on the river.  Then Ewan Turner came along and after a short stay continued towards the boatyard, as did Tom Kistruck a little later.  Finally I was joined by John and Rose Woodruff.  Shortly before I left we enjoyed a f/imm Marsh Harrier which flew down the Leri and continued up the Dyfi estuary.
