On arrival at the prom this morning I was pleased to find four Purple Sandpipers on the wall. Other waders; 10 Ringed Plovers and around the same number of Turnstones.. Then a Kingfisher flew off College Rocks, passing directly over my head before heading over the castle.
John and Jill then came along and we enjoyed a pleasant interlude watching both fem / imm Black Redstarts as they hawked for insects in the sunshine on the Old College, mostly around the conical roof to the left of the main entrance.
