It looks like it’s a good autumn for black redstarts - the female/ imm has been feeding in our yard everyday since Saturday. It disappears during the middle of the day but it seems unlikely that it is commuting all the way to the Old College in Aberystwyth during this time, perhaps only travelling as far as the Clarach bay caravan parks, before returning here to feed and roost as the light starts to fade.
