Another sort of marine 'invasion'

Aberporth this afternoon: 10 Red Throated Divers in one binocular view close to the cliffs and plenty more across the bay between Aberporth and Tresaith, between 20 and 30 is an educated guesstimate.

Isolated Herring Gulls, 1 GBB and 1 Med Gull flying over with only 6 Scoter present so RTD's were the most numerous bird on the water!

Ian Morris: re Green Sandpiper. I remember seeing one nr Ochr Garth on a field puddle and excitedly informed Hywel Roderick (former recorder and joint author  Birds of Ceredigion) who said he knew the puddle and had often seen one in it!  He then told me about all the other puddles where he'd seen odd birds...those were the days!
