Dyfi estuary

Started my morning at Ynyslas where migration was well in evidence. 100s of Bar-tailed Godwits at Ynyslas point. Circa 100 Whimbrels, Ringed Plovers and Dunlins  around the Leri mouth, 3 Sandwich Terns on the posts, 60+ Wheatears and 3 stunning male Yellow Wagtails on the field behind the boat yard.

Then on to Ynis-hir where I met Tony Ware. Many singing Pied Flycatchers on the way to the Marion Mawr hide where the banks of the Dyfi were smothered with another 250 Bar-tailed Godwits, and a few dozen more Whimbrels, 1 each of  Russian White-fronted Goose, Great Egret and Osprey.

Then onto Glandyfi layby where there were 2 Little-ringed Plovers, 11 Common Sands and a Greenshank.
