I also had a walk along the cycle path earlier, hoping for Whitethroat,. No luck but I managed a singing Sedge Warbler and a decent view of the Cetti's. There was also a passage of Sand Martins.
Earlier, by the wooden jetty the Purple Sands had increased to nine, my highest count of the year, and they were accompanied by at least 20 Turnstones.
