What a joy to find at least three Wheatears on the coastal path between Aberporth and Tresaith this morning. Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs in song towards the Tresaith end, and the two regular Choughs preening on some fence posts. Plenty of Linnets and a single Whimbrel flying over and calling, also a single Sand Martin. The three pairs of Oystercatchers we have been watching over the past breeding seasons are back on their usual ledges on the cliffs - hopefully they will have more breeding success this year after not a single chick survived last year. On Sunday evening we had 8 Whimbrel flying south down the coast and also 22 Common Scoter on the water, of which there was no sign this morning. The Chiffchaffs are enjoying feeding on the Alexanders plants along the path.
