Had a good couple of days inland from Tregaron to Gwenffrwyd Dinas. Star of
the show was a male yellowhammer in full breeding plumage singing very
obligingly next to car near Llyn Brianne. Anyway, back to Ceredigion..
On the mountain road yesterday from from Tregaron to Soar y Mynydd were the
usual meadow pipits, stonechats and skylarks plus 4 whinchats, 2 males and a
pair. There was a cuckoo in the plantation just south east of Soar y Mynydd and
a mistle thrush was singing by the chapel. A pair of Common sandpipers were on
the Camddwr.
